We are a family run business, based on the south coast in West Sussex.

The name Calico Jax, well the story is a long one.

But the short version is :-

For our customers this is just a shop name, but for us this has several connections to our family ties in business. My husband's and my initials are C&J, we have several businesses that we run together as a family and they all use our initials in the titles in one way or another. From the C&J sprung Calico Jax, this is a play on the name Calico Jack Rackham, a historic pirate. We also design board games and our 1st game was based on pirates, and the 1st playing piece to be designed was Calico Jack Rackham, and so the name stuck.

We pride ourselves on providing old fashioned values in a modern society.

Every item is made to order, individually crafted and checked.

Please allow up to 5 working days for dispatch of orders. If you do need a quicker turn around than this please contact us and we will do everything we can to make this happen for you. Many times our orders are turned around much quicker than this but to provide the individual attention we like to provide to each and every item we like to have the time to not mass produce but to give quality and individuality to all of our orders regardless of the size.

We do not charge for packing material as this is recycled from our local school. Our little way to help the environment and encourge greener thinking in our next generation.
